Assessment Overview

The ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) measures basic essential skills in the academic content areas of reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage. The objectives accessed on the ATI TEAS exam are those which health science educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry-level academic readiness of nursing and allied health program applicants.

Individuals seeking enrollment in Health Sciences programs may take the ATI TEAS test on the Appalachian, Canton, Marietta, North Metro, and Paulding campuses. View the Testing Center Schedule for availability.

A remote test option is available for individuals who desire to take the test from their home or chosen location. Individuals must register for a practice test (also known as the dry run). During the dry run, computer hardware, software, and internet speeds must be tested to ensure the test may be successfully completed at the off-campus location. Once the individual successfully completes the dry run and a short practice test, they will receive instructions and code needed to register for the remote test. Note: Please check the specific School of Nursing and/or Health Science program webpage if you have questions about minimum scores required or about how often you may take the exam. Testing Center staff cannot evaluate scores or determine if you will be admitted to the program.

 Registration Process

1. Register and pay online for an appointment. Walk-in registrations are also available.
2. Create an ATI account.
3. On test date, please bring your ATI user ID and password along with your valid government issued Photo ID. If using the walk-in option, also bring a credit/debit card for payment.
4. After all tests have been completed for each test date, your results will be available through your ATI account under the My Results tab.
