General education requirements at Chattahoochee Technical College are designed to provide students with a common academic experience which allows for the attainment of postsecondary academic knowledge and skills necessary to become successful in their career choice and lifelong learning.

General Education Competency Statements

  • Students will solve problems using quantitative methods, data analysis, and/or critical thinking.
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental components of human communication through reading, writing, listening, and oral communication in a multi-cultural society.
  • Students will respond critically to selected works of art and the historical and cultural events leading to their creation.
  • Students will demonstrate a knowledge of the theories, methodologies, and movements related to the social and behavioral sciences.
